“I know everyone loves a good “empties” post – like, will I repurchase? Read to find out!”
Over the last month or so, I’ve had a paper bag below my beauty vanity to throw out items I am just not using or have used up! I always love when bloggers/YouTubers create “empties” content because that means they have fully invested in a product and are ready to give some kickass reviews.
The main question I am going to answer is: Will I repurchase? Because, let’s be honest, if I’m not willing to repurchase then I’m obviously not that into it.
Product #1: Garnier Refreshing Gel-Cream
I emptied this baby in like 6 weeks – IT’S SO GOOD. I have a full review at the link above and would highly recommend checking it out if you’re interested in finding a moisturizer alternative. It’s great for the oily-skinned folks like myself. V lightweight and a super affordable option.
Will I repurchase? YES! And I have already done so.
Product #2: Ulta Mineral Bronzer
I can’t find this on Ulta’s website anymore, so I’m assuming they did away with this formula. It was glittery and pretty orange. I gave up on it when I transitioned to my Physician’s Formula Butter Bronzer.
I do see Ulta has a new matte bronzer on their website so maaaybe I’ll give it a try next time I’m perusing the makeup aisle.
Will I repurchase? No, there are much better options.
Product #3: COVERGIRL Outlast Lip Color
These are actually really great lip stains! I’m not sure if CoverGirl still sells them in drugstores/Walmarts, but I remember really loving this in college, and I have a hometown bestie to thank for that (s/o to you Lauren).
Will I repurchase? If they have something similar, yes, I would!
Product #4: Biore Charcoal Pore Strips
I. don’t. like. these. The original pore strips by Biore are great and I will definitely purchase those again, but the charcoal ones make no difference in my t-zone’s oil production and don’t stick to my nose properly. I have a “Charcoal vs. The Original” pore strips debate at the link above if you’re interested!
Will I repurchase? No.
Product #5: e.l.f Undereye Setting Powder
This is a THROWAWAY for me. I’ve heard a lot of beauty YouTubers recommend this, but I cannot get on board. It was sparkly, and I’m not about glitter and sparkles under my eyes. The only pro about this product was that it cost $3.00.
Will I repurchase? No.
Product #6: Maybelline Colossal Mascara
This was a good product, and I am a fan of Maybelline’s mascaras. However, now that I know so much more about affordable options that are dupes for high end brands (*cough, cough* here’s to you, L’Oréal Lash Paradise), I don’t think I will be repurchasing this.
Will I repurchase? Probably not, but it was good while I used it.
So that’s it for this empties segment! Is this something that interests anyone else? I’d love to know so I can continue to collect empty products. I know everyone loves a juicy review.
